 Dr. Neville Goonewardena, BSc (Colombo), MSc & PhD (Osaka University) is appointed as the new Director General of Customs with effect from 16.01.2012. He served in the Customs Department since 1980 as a staff officer until he was appointed as the Director General, Department of Trade, Tariff and Investment Policy, Ministry of Finance & Planning.He also served in the World Customs Organization in Brussels, from 1999 to 2002 as the officer responsible for the chemical related matters. | |||||||||||||||
