Any form of Customs offences, smuggling of Drugs, Cigarettes, Foreign Currencies, Fauna and Flora and Goods with archeological value, or any other goods which could pose threat to National security.
Confidentiality assured and rewarded for successful information
Information is the main ingredient in developing intelligence
Customs staff come across very valuable information during the course of their day to day activities
If this information is not being used it goes waste
It is the responsibility of the Customs staff to furnish such information to CIU to enable it to develop further and convert into an intelligence product that will be useful for enforcement activities.
CIU welcomes requests for intelligence from Customs staff having given tasks on intelligence, they need.
