09.1.Peacock Feather Fans


Three (03) fans made out of the feathers of Peacock ( Paro cristatus)were detected while attempting to bring in to Sri Lanka from India concealed in passenger baggage violating the Customs Ordinance read with Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance.




9.2.Snake Wine

9.3.Stuffed Golden Pheasant


Stuffed Golden Pheasant (Chrysolophus pictus) detected while concealed in personal baggage in order to smuggle in to Sri Lanka illegally violating Customs Ordinance read with Fauna and Flora Ordinance.




9.4 Rhino Horn


Rhinoceros horns only consist with Keratin and are sold in the black market for ornamental and traditional medicinal purposes

This was detected while attempting to export to Thailand concealed in passenger baggage violating the Customs Ordinance read with Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance in year 2008. (Customs Case Number BIA/CASE/201/2008)
