Extension of Tax Exemptions – Disaster Recovery Project (Cyclone “Ditwa”)

Sri Lanka Customs hereby informs all stakeholders that the Hon. Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development has granted approval to extend the validity period of tax exemptions and deferments applicable to the Disaster Recovery Project to facilitate people affected by Cyclone “Ditwa”, which has been declared as a Specified Project.

Accordingly, the tax exemptions/deferments granted under this project will remain valid until 03 August 2026, unless further extended.

Stakeholders are kindly advised that requests for exemptions or deferments will not be accepted after the expiry of the above-mentioned period.

All other terms and conditions outlined in the previous communication dated 03 December 2025 remain unchanged.
