The Customs House Agent (CHA) Certificate Course 2025 – II only for Temporary Pass (T-pass) holders

SL Customs has decided to extend the application receiving dates of CHA Certificate course 2025-II until 10.09.2025 under below mentioned criteria.

  • The course is scheduled to be started from 13.09.2025 for only T-Pass holders.                                         
  • Required qualifications for eligibility:
    1. Should be a T-pass holder, having obtained the T-pass for minimum of 03 years.                                                                                 Or
    2. Should be a T-pass holder, having minimum of 06 passes in G.C.E (O/L) Examination in one sitting including English, Mathematics and Mother Language.                                                                                                                 Or
    3. Should be a T-pass holder, having minimum of 06 passes in G.C.E (O/L) Examination in one sitting including Mother Language and either English or mathematics. If the Applicant failed in Mathematics, Applicant should pass Mathematics in a subsequent attempt in G.C.E. (O/L). If the Applicant failed in English, Applicant should pass English in a subsequent attempt in G.C.E. (O/L) or G.C.E. (A/L). 
  • Applications will be received at HRD Directorate from 01.09.2025 onwards from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on weekdays. Closing date for receiving applications is 10.09.2025.                                                  
  • Another 350 participants are to be selected for the certificate course in the order of receiving applications to the HRD Directorate during this extension period.                                                                   
  • The course will be conducted for nine (09) consecutive days on weekends (except public holidays) from 09.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m., on hybrid mode.                                                                                                                      
  • The course fee of Rs. 16,700.00 needs to be paid to the Customs Shroff and the original copy of the receipt is to be submitted to the HRD Directorate.                                                                                               
  • Prior to submission of the application to Human Resources Development Directorate (HRD), Section 1 of the application must be endorsed by the CHA unit of Sri Lanka Customs confirming the applicants T-Pass status. For further details, please refer “Instructions to Applicants and Terms & Conditions” in page No. 05 of the application.                                                                                                       
  • The next CHA Courses for the applicants with GCE A/L qualifications, are scheduled to be started from December 2025 onwards & will be notified later.
